Sounds of American English Lesson

This 6-page lesson (including teacher’s notes) gives you a Sounds of American English chart which includes original illustrations of high-frequency words. So, for example, instead of teaching “apple” for the letter “a” the sample word is a much more common one, “ask.” Also included is a lesson on short and long vowel sounds and an activity to sort the names of the books of the New Testament in alphabetical order.
