Best Travel Items

Are you planning to travel abroad in the near future? I just returned from a trip to Asia and researched a few items before I left. Here are some things I found that were useful:

This I found helpful for several reasons:

  • lightweight
  • has a number of compartments with zippers
  • can put itinerary in back
  • has RFID

It also comes in a variety of colors!

Where has this been all my life? 🙂 Before someone else told me about these, I had been picking up the suitcase and stepping on the scale–which was riddled with problems due to my changing weight lol and the math required–not to mention the difficulty in seeing the total weight with large suitcase in hand. Anyway, for less than $20 this handy device worked great in showing me the exact weight of my suitcase.

These are my go to. I have used them for years and, as a result, can actually find things in my suitcase. I also put a change of clothes in one of them and keep that in my carry-on. They come in all kinds of sizes and colors.

You wouldn’t think this little contraption would work, but it does! Last year I traveled 20 hours and had a sore back after the trip. This year I put this on my seat in the plane for a 25 hour trip and did not have a sore back either way. There is a larger version, but both my husband and I found that the smaller version works better.

On my previous trip, I took a regular backpack and found it heavy and cumbersome. I tried this one for this last trip and was very impressed. It was able to carry everything I needed (glasses, granola bars, small notebook, pens, etc.) and even has a phone compartment on the strap. The side pockets worked great for hand sanitizer and a water bottle.
